Soarian from Siemens

Since the end of 2006, the Bronovo-Nebo Foundation (Stichting Bronovo-Nebo) has been cooperating with Siemens on the implementation of a fifth generation electronic patient file (EPF). The Bronovo Hospital is the first Dutch health care organisation using the Soarian* system produced by Siemens Medical Solutions.



Soarian is a software application aimed at supporting the total care process of a patient. It has a multidisciplinary approach and supports all care professionals involved in the care path of the patient. It brings all processes together: (out)patient, administrative, diagnostic and therapeutic. The application also unambiguously records every detail known about the patient. This ensures that a complete electronic file is created in a standard manner for each patient.

*The name Soarian is derived from the verb “to soar” and means, “to bring to a higher level”.
