Co-operation

Bronovo-Nebo forms the co-operation together with two other hospitals in the province of South Holland (Zuid Holland): Medical Centre Haaglanden (Medisch Centrum Haaglanden) in The Hague and en Leidschendam and the Groene Hart Hospital (Groene Hart Ziekenhuis) in Gouda. With this co-operation the four hospitals aim to offer better and more efficient patient care.

Current developments in health care policy make it essential to work in a large cooperative context. This will allow us to maintain and strengthen our quality and professionalism in future, reduce our costs and remain an attractive hospital for our patients, partners and employees. An agreement in the form of a co-operation allows us to maintain the hospital’s own identity, character and high level of quality in the future. Furthermore, this type of collaboration allows us to combine the advantages of a larger scale with the small scale we wish to maintain.

The intention to collaborate closely will affect the following areas:
  • Strengthening of the basic functions in the primary process by developing “target group” medicine, mutual division of front line medicine, development of joint medical support facilities (including laboratories and diagnostic centres) and education and research in close cooperation with the LUMC within the Education and Training Region (Onderwijs en Opleiding Regio).
  • Shared services for functions such as purchasing, IT and patient logistics, legal matters and policy support, internal/external communication and marketing, technical services, quality assurance and safety, medical instrumentation services and staff policy.
