Alliance with LUMC

Alliance of the Bronovo Hospital with the Leiden University Medical Centre (Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum)
In the spring of 2006, the Bronovo Hospital formed a strategic alliance with the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC). This confirmed the cooperation and historical connection, which has been built up over the years.

The alliance will contribute to us:

  • Being able to supply qualitatively good care to those in our area requiring care.
  • Continuing and improving the quality of care and better anticipation of the current developments in health care.
  • Cooperating in patient care, research, teaching and training.

The alliance contributes to the continued delivery of an integral package of advanced facilities, which meets the patients’ needs. The LUMC can focus even more on referring and clinical excellence in care. Sufficient knowledge and skills are maintained in order to offer and deliver a broad spectrum of medical-specialised care. New developments are possible due to continued exchange of knowledge and experience and we are able to maximise the teaching capacity and quality. We use the capacity of both organisations to retain and acquire relevant medical and nursing training and to expand our scientific knowledge.
