Labour and delivery at Bronovo Hospital

Bronovo Hospital offers an information evening on Monday October 21st 2013 for expecting parents. An outline will be given on what to expect when you are to give birth at Bronovo Hospital. And you will be given the opportunity to ask your questions.

Presentations will be given by:

• A gynaecologist
• A midwife
• An obstetric nurse

Because of the large interest, we are unable to offer a tour of the labour Ward. There will be ample time for questions, however.  

The session on October 21st will be from 19:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs. 
Doors are open as from 18:45 hrs.
Location: Auditorium, 4th floor, Bronovo Hospital.

Childbirth Preparation Course given by ACCESS at Bronovo Hospital

This popular six session course, presented by an ACCESS childbirth educator, is aimed at couples in the last trimester of pregnancy. Some of the topics covered include:  

• An introduction to the Dutch Health Care System
• Normal labour and childbirth
• Possible medical interventions to assist with delivery
• Breathing and relaxation exercises for the various stages of labour
• Toning/strengthening exercises for the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles
• Pain relief, including epidural
• The post- partum period

The course will be held at Bronovo Hospital, (1st floor, Fesevurroom) from 19.00 - 21.00 hours.

The price of this six session course is € 220,- (inclusive tea/coffee, inclusive parking fee)

Labour control prenatal

Prenatal
An effective, practical preparation for labour through a combination of techniques:

• Yoga
• Relaxation through breathing
• Massage

Eight sessions (two with partner), starting in the last trimester of pregnancy
All sessions include a topic: 

• Posture
• Pelvic floor
• Stages of labour
• Breathing techniques and postures
• Pushing techniques
• Post partum

Each class, relaxation and breathing will be practised to become a second nature.                    

Time: Tuesday evening, 19.00 to 20.15 hrs 
Venue: Bronovo Hospital – Physiotherapy 
Costs: € 135,-- (for eight sessions)
Led by: Joke van Roosendaal-Kuyper, qualified yoga instructor, relaxation and  breathing  therapist. The course is presented in English.
