Location
The Osteoporosis outpatients clinic is on the 2nd floor, next to the Reumatology outpatients clinic.

Consultations and Appointments
The Osteoporosis outpatients clinic gives consultations from Monday to Thursday inclusive from 08.30 to 16.00 hours and on Friday from 08.30 to 12.00 hours. Patients can telephone for an appointment during the times shown above.

You can make an appointment at the Osteoporosis outpatients clinic if you have been referred by your family docotor (G.P.) or specialist for an examination for osteoporosis.
You can also make an appointment on your own initiative if you have recently had a fracture (broken bone) and are more than 50 years old.

First and second visit
At your first visit, you will be seen bu the Osteoporosis nurse for a preliminary screening. At the same time, some examinations will be arranged (blood tests and DEXA/bone-measurements).
At the second visit, you ill be seen by the Rheumatologist who will inform you about the results of the tests. If necessary medication will be prescribed and any further procedure will be discussed with you.
