The Medical social work is located at the Irene Nursing Ward on the 1st floor of Bronovo Hospital.

Availability
You can telephone the office on workdays from 09.00 - 15.00 hours on 070 - 312 46 48. If no-one is available to speak to you, you can leave a message on the answering machine and you will be called back as soon as possible.

Medical social workers
A hospital admission or outpatient treatment can be a difficult and trying time for you and your family/relations. A chat with a medical social worker can help you put things into perspective and help you to find ways of dealing with your illness or complaint and the practical problems it can cause. 
The medical social worker can also act as a mediator between you and the hospital, third parties or other organisations. For example, they can help to arrange home care, rehabilitation or admission to a nursing home for rehabilitation. The medical social workers are there to provide help for hospital in-patients but can also provide support for partners or others involved in the care of the patient.

How to contact the medical social worker?

• If you would like to speak to a medical social worker, please let your specialist or ward nurse know so they can arrange this for you. A medical social worker will usually come to see you that same day. If this is not possible, your specialist or ward nurse may suggest you make an appointment.
• You or your family/relations may also contact the medical social worker directly.
