Hours of consultation
The cardiologists hold consultations by appointment. As of 23 August 2011 you will also be able to make appointments in the evening in even weeks.

• Make an appointment online: this is possible for your first appointment with the cardiologist and for appointments via ‘ZorgDomein’ (is a special quick refferal system between Bronovo and your GP/family doctor).
• Make an appointment on the phone: the outpatient clinic can be reached by phone Monday to Friday from 09.00 - 16.00 hours at phone number +31 (0)70 - 312 43 75.

Fields of interest
Within the specialisation of cardiology the heart is examined and treated for diseases. Six cardiologists work at Bronovo Hospital. The team of cardiologists have the following fields of interest:

• Invasive diagnostics
• Cardiac MRI and CT
• Echocardiography
• Pacemaker therapy (also biventricular systems)
• Nuclear cardiography
• Heart failure
• Heart rehabilitation

Specialised consultation hours
Heart failure outpatient clinic:
There is currently sufficient scientific evidence to prove that patients suffering from heart failure benefit from a multidisciplinary and intensive approach. Patients are more faithful to their care regimes and thus require fewer hospitalisations. They feel better and probably have a better life expectancy too. Patients are informed about their disease and are stimulated to take their medication correctly, adhere to lifestyle changes and learn to live with their disease.  

At Bronovo Hospital, patients suffering from heart failure are guided by a heart failure nurse (a nurse specially trained for performing this important task) under the supervision of the treating cardiologist. Patients may also consult a dietician and receive a training schedule for heart rehabilitation. The heart failure nurse has a separate consultation time. Appointments are made via the cardiologists.
